In general explanation though process are similar, grit blasting penetrates more than sand blasting on surface thus provides an much cleaner surface for further process of protective coatings for practical reasons as required. Durability of protective coatings are the main criteria.
Sand Blasting - technique for cleansing of metallic surfaces, for which nice silica sand is blasted via a nozzle onto the exterior via ability of compressed air to do away with scale besides as different coverings. Grit Blasting - a manner of abrasive cleansing or floor coaching using sharp debris (eg, forged iron shot, aluminum oxide). |
