1.JOB TITLE: Engineer (Machinery & Piping) Scope: (A brief statement of overall responsibilities) Support the project team in ensuring that the design on a specific project meet the contract technical specifications, master schedule Key Responsibilities : • Participate in the design, development and modification of mechanical system (marine, offshore and HVAC) in offshore vessel/ rig. • Perform mechanical calculations such as equipment sizing, pipe sizing, heat load calculation, hydraulic pressure loss calculation for piping & ventilation • To ensure the mechanical system designs (machinery layout & piping schematics) comply with classifications rules, marine/ offshore regulations and vessel/ rig contract specification • Prepare documentation for drawing list, equipment list, piping material estimation etc. • To prepare equipment specification and material request form for procurement use • Liaise with equipment vendor, vessel/ rig owner representative, classification society surveyors and other relevant authorities to resolve technical issues as and when required. • To review and approve the vendor certified document and drawings • Provide onsite support to production for design issues Preferred Competencies: • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Marine/ Offshore Engineering. • Minimum 5 years’ experience in basic design and engineering of relevant to construction of Marine/ Offshore Units. • Familiar with various classification rules (ABS, BV, DNV, LRS and etc) and regulations (MODU, SOLAS, API, etc). • Understand the principle of the machinery equipment and onboard system • Good communication and analytical skills • Experience in whole design process from basic design to production design 2.JOB TITLE: Naval Architect (Basic Design) Scope: (A brief statement of overall responsibilities) Assist Assistant Section Head / Section Head (Naval Architect) with the calculation of basic design reports, software modeling and calculation Key Responsibilities : • Complete basic design drawing and document under the guidance and supervision of Section Head / Assistant Section Head. • Communicate with other discipline engineers to achieve required information. • Able to understand and follow supervisor’s requests, using knowledge of basic design concept and background knowledge of marine manufacturing. Read and interpret technical specification, Rules and regulations. • Familiar with NAPA or GHS software to perform naval architecture calculations such as stability/hydrostatic, speed power prediction, weight distribution ,launching. • Prepare documentation for drawing list, material list, production information, weight control, material management, delivery documents etc • Conduct various trials and tests such as speed trial, inclining experiment. • Support in tendering. • Develop 2D engineering drawing using CAD software. Preferred Competencies: • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Naval Architecture or relevant discipline. • Minimum 6~8 years’ working experience in basic design, engineering relevant to construction of vessels or mobile offshore drilling and related structures. • Good interpersonal relations and communication skills. • Disciplined, willing to improve, hardworking and responsible. 3.JOB TITLE: Structure Engineer (Basic Design) Scope: (A brief statement of overall responsibilities) Assist Assistant Section Head / Section Head (Naval Architect) with the calculation of basic design reports, software modeling and calculation Key Responsibilities : • Complete basic design drawing and document under the guidance and supervision of Section Head / Assistant Section Head. • Communicate with other discipline engineers to achieve required information. • Able to understand and follow supervisor’s requests, using knowledge of basic design concept and background knowledge of marine manufacturing. • Develop 2D and/ or 3D engineering drawing using software. • Read and interpret technical specification or drawing when necessary. • Assist Section Head/ Assistant Section Head to complete the design task according to project planning schedule. • Weight and CG calculation and control of structure and outfitting of the vessel/ rig. • Use FEAMP/Nastran software to do the structure calculation. • Responsible for structure calculation, test report and analysis of the structural of the vessel/ rig. Preferred Competencies: • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Naval Architecture or relevant discipline. • Minimum 6~8 years’ working experience in basic design, engineering relevant to construction of vessels or mobile offshore drilling and related structures. • Good interpersonal relations and communication skills. • Disciplined, willing to improve, hardworking and responsible.
